Cenk Ergün

Cenk Ergün is a composer and improviser based in New York. He creates chamber music, electronic music, and sound installations. Cenk’s compositions are performed by groups such as JACK Quartet, So Percussion, the Harmonic Space Orchestra and Quatuor Bozzini. As an electronics performer, he is active in two bands: Kertenkele with Cansu Tanrikulu & Nick Dunston, and Dem with Jason Treuting & Jeff Snyder. Other collaborators include Sudhu Tewari, Samita Sinha, Alvin Curran, and Fred Frith. Venues that have featured his work include Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, 92NY, Miller Theater at Colombia University, Roulette, The Stone (New York); Wigmore Hall (London); Pierre Boulez Saal, KM28 (Berlin); Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg); Muziekgebouw (Amsterdam); Tonhalle (Zurich). Cenk’s music has been heard at the NY Phil Biennial, Lincoln Center Festival, Time:Spans Festival, Lucerne Festival, Gaudeamus Muziekweek, MATA Festival, Bang on a Can Marathon, and the San Francisco Electronic Music Festival.
