There are fascinating perspectives for today’s artists in the deciphering of the new shapes undertaken by this large secular movement towards cultural universalism. Against all appearances a new path seems to emerge that goes not through the elimination and erasing of differences but instead through the recognition and affirmation of local and individual particularities.
