The title means “digital music” and was composed for the Festival of Future Arts in Tokyo, Japan organized by the composer Satoshi Sumitani in 1984. It is the only work on this program that was composed for live performance on the digital synthesizer I helped developed called the Synclavier I devoted eight years of my life to the development of and composition for this now defunct musical instrument.
