“Ingram and I met at the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center in 1966. His music evokes powerful but often gentle and seductive images and emotions. This work was performed live by the composer using very simple means (a Serge synthesizer) and a piano. It is also sometimes has a visual accompaniment consisting of photographs of Alcatraz by Jim Bengtsson.”
