Le goût des larmes

Julien Guillamat

Le goût des larmes has been performed in Birmingham, Bogotá, Bologna, Cologne, Moissac and Montpellier…

Le goût des larmes is kind of a transcendent journey to an island inhabited by a half-man, half-bird deity rooted in arid soil. Resigned and suffering, that god hides from human atrocities behind a curtain.

The work is inspired by René Magritte’s famous painting La saveur des larmes [The Flavour of Tears] (1948).
