Viae is a journey, a quest, a search; a stroll through the streets of Aulon, a small, isolated village perched at an altitude of over 1,200 meters in the Hautes-Pyrénées department (France). This journey culminates in the ascent of the promontory that rises in the center of the village, towering above everything, facing the beauty of the distant horizon and the unknown.

Viae was realized in 2025-26 at the Métamorphoses d’Orphée studio of Musiques & Recherches in Ohain (Belgium) and premiered on January 21, 2026 during the concert L’espace des sons — grand concert acousmatique at the Conservatoire national à rayonnement régional Pierre Cochereau de Nice (France). The piece was commissioned by Maison des arts sonores (Montpellier, France). This piece is part of a vast soundscape project about the Aure Valley called Aure sonore, led by the Maison des arts sonores (Montpellier, France).
