Sarah-Jane Summers is originally from Inverness, is a tradition bearer of the old Highlands fiddle style, has a master’s degree in Norwegian Hardanger fiddle, and is currently doing a PhD in Artistic Research at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. She has released six solo albums with both traditional and experimental music, and her latest critically acclaimed album of experimental Hardanger fiddle pieces was released on Another Timbre.
