To my daughter Alice

Acousmatic music composed from natural landscape sounds (the forest, the sea), animal sounds (birds, mammals), elemental sounds (water, wind), and symbolic electronic sounds… These sounds, once transformed using various electroacoustic means, are projected in a triptych of playful interrelations to compose “an organized assemblage whose model is rooted in the history of painting: the invention of landscape” (Daniel Deshays, our translation). Here, one can hear inhabited landscapes.

Paysages [Landscapes] was realized in 2016 at the Métamorphoses d’Orphée studio of Musiques & Recherches in Ohain (Belgium) and was premiered on March 23, 2016 as part of the concert Électrobelge at Espace Senghor in Brussels (Belgium). Thanks to the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, Administration générale de la culture, Service de la musique.
